For a mini tutorial on placing files for use in the program folders, you can read this http://corkyo.wincustomize.com/Articles.aspx?SID=5463&AID=82930
In working with ObjectDock Plus, you will be working with either the "My Docks" dialog (right-click the system tray - notification area - icon > select My Docks), or the "Dock Settings" dialog (right-click a dock > Dock Settings).
The My Docks dialog allows you to add and remove docks, as well as offering an "Edit this dock" option when one of the dock listings is selected - this will invoke the Dock Settings dialog for that dock.
The Dock Settings dialog is where you will assign various attributes for the relevant dock (there is a difference between a non-tabbed dock, and a tabbed dock settings dialog - due to the attribute differences).
Investigating these dialogs will give you a fairly clear idea of what the capabilities are of each dock style.
The "General" category of both types of Dock Settings dialog offers the "Load theme" button, and the "Save theme as" button - which will become important once you have the dock(s) just the way you want them. Simply save your theme, and it will be available to load at any time.
There are also quite a few options in the context (right-click) menus for each dock, which offer quick access to say "Add > New '*' Entry", Magnification, Lock Dragging, Position, etc.
Two options for the tabbed docks "Lock Icon Dragging", and "Lock Dock Position" are accessed by "Right-click tab > View > select the lock feature you want.
As far as "zoomers" go, there are a couple of attributes which could fall under that definition:
1 - Magnification attribute on non-tabbed docks, which is an attribute for the dock as a whole - and therefore, it will apply to all icons on the dock. If selected, you have two sliders in the Dock Settings\Appearance category - one for the icon's static size, and the other for the magnified size. The difference between the two sizes (in pixels) will determine the "zoom" effect.
Note - you can also change the effect from a "zoom" on mouse-over, to a gentle rock, swing, or after-glow - found under the Appearance Tweaks category in a non-tabbed dock settings dialog.
2 - For tabbed docks, there is a simple zoom effect which can be applied (no sizing adjustment) - found under the Size & Appearance category of the non-tabbed dock settings dialog.
Once you have a dock entry (icon) added to the dock, you would then right-click the entry > select "Dock Entry Properties" > use the dialog to assign, or navigate to the file or folder you want to invoke by clicking on the dock entry. There is also a "Change Image" button in this dialog, which you would use to navigate to an icon (".ico") file, or a ".png" image file to assign as the icon image to display.
Alternatively, you can simply drag a file or folder onto the dock, and then use the Change Image button in the Dock Entry Properties to select a new image (Make sure that "Lock Dragging" for non-tabbed docks, and/or "Lock Icon Dragging" for tabbed docks - is not selected to enable dragging onto dock).
BTW - there are also DesktopX icon objects which are referred to as "zoomers", which I do not believe are recognized as valid dock entries by ObjectDock.
I hope this helps.
