Well, personnally, I consider Bush as an ignorant idiot. Not that I think people who would vote for him are so as well. Probably most of them are republicans and would never be caught dead voting democrat.
Interesting thing is that my wife has always been a republican. She still considers herself a Republican, except that she can't stand the idiot that Bush is. If she had to vote, she would vote Democrat for this once in her life. Except that voting from another country, while it's possible, it's just a lot of hassle, and she just doesn't see it as worth it (as she would still be reluctant to vote Democrat - she would only do it because she hates Bush so much).
I know that every country leader has an army of advisers and speech writters to do the thinking for them, but in the case of Bush, it just seems to be so obvous: the man can't speak two intelligent words unless somebody else writes it for him.
One event comes to my mind: shortly after getting elected, a little before 9/11, while asked by Canadian journalists what he thought about the Prince-Edward-Island potatoes issue (at that time there was a trade conflict between the US and Canada regarding potatoes from the province of Prince-Edward-Island). He answered that a trip to Europe was planned soon and that the matter would be discussed then...  Europe? Prince-Edward-Island? Come on now, we're your closest neighbour and you are the leader of your country. Just how credible can you be to us when you think one of our province is in Europe?  Man, I wonder if Idaho potatoes are from Australia...
