When I downloaded SSGoku's SS-04 Sysmetrix, I commented to him that I liked it because it was big and readable. At least, after I got to changing all the text, adding a few buttons, etc. I told him that I'd be using that pattern to learn to skin Sysmetrix. And I have been.
What I've got looks nothing like SS-04. It's fairly large, and very legible, which is what I need. This middle age presbyopia crap really necessitates good legibility. I love the Sysmetrix that some of you design, but frankly, I can't read it without effort. There a bunch of fabulous designers here, and now I see how much work goes into everything. And, I think that probably Sysmetrix is one of the easier programs to skin. I'm never taking on WB, I don't think. Or, at least, I'd have to retire first.
One thing about my Sysmetrix is that I think it's kind of busy. Lots of colors, lines, boxes, etc. But, it is very legible. I'm looking forward to uploading it, but I'm sure that many of you won't like it because it's so busy. But that's a matter of taste, isn't it. Many of you like busy wallpaper with simple objects. I like simple wallpaper with detailed objects. Right now, it's sitting on gef's Azul DX desktop. It kind of compliments it, I think.

So, I think maybe some will like it. It is rather unique. Also, I think it would need at least a 1280 res, or it will take up too much of the desktop. It's big.
All I have left to do are buttons. Right now, I've lifted buttons and sliders from various artist, as placeholders. Pinchecl's buttons and Candy Glass media player buttons. They're not great for my design, but they function for now. Is there a good place to get buttons and the like? A repository of stuff, maybe?
And, one last question. Because I used SSGoku's original folder, just copying it in its entirety to a new folder, his name shows up in the Sysmetrix theme browser. How do I change it to mine? I'm kinda possessive, ya know.
