*Meow??* what OS are you running? more specifically, do you have a start menu? if so, look for:
start menu -> programs -> accessories -> system tools -> character map
i am using MS Word 2000 on winXP pro here, and i have discovered the following things:
i made a list of three items in a new word document and turned them into bullets. then i was able to right click on the bullet list and go into "bullets and numbering"
from here by looking in both customize and the character map program that the default round bullet is a character from the "Symbol" font, and that it has character code 0xB7 (shown in the status bar of character map)
it shows up on row 8 in character map, about half way along, when you set the font to be "Symbol".
so, do you have the symbol font? are you using word? if yes to both, then lets see if you can manually insert this character into MS word. this will help to show what is going on.
