Can't disable auto-arrange icons in Fence 3

I installed Fence 3 on Windows 11.

It is no longer possible to change the position of desktop icons placed outside of a Fence.

Even if I check the icon alignment settings from the right-click menu on the desktop, even though auto-align is not checked, the icons are fixed to the top left and I cannot place them anywhere I like.

This issue does not occur on Windows 10, only on Windows 11.

Is there any way to improve this?

Also, has Stardock stopped email support? Previously, support was available via email, but now it appears to be only available through forums.

I right-clicked on the desktop and made sure that Auto arrange icons was not checked. Even if I tried to check it, it became impossible to do so after installing Fence 3.

If you disable Fences does the issue goes away? Something similar to screenshot below.

If yes, please try purge and reinstall steps as mention here : [Link]. Just make sure to redownload the latest version from your account page. Reboot after the purge. Reinstall and reboot again after the installation. Retest and report back here.

If you disable Fence in the settings, the problem will be resolved. I uninstalled it and reinstalled it with administrator privileges, and it was resolved. thank you very much.

Fences v3 is unfortunately well out of support — we’re actively patching current Windows 11 compatibility issues as they come up, and this is a known issue with 24H2 that we have fixed via a compatibility update. You’ll need to upgrade to the latest version, and while we understand it’s not a preferable licensing model, we recommend the subscription to ensure you stay up to date with the latest Windows changes.
