i don't use desktop x so this may not prove to be such a challange after all. but i think it something to look into for you scripters.
another thread talked about multiple desktopping/multi monitors. the windows powertool 'Desktop Manager' gives you a toolbar in your system tray to toggle between different desktops to multitask with zillions of things going on at once, in the event you fill up one screen with too much garbage. it even has the option to 'expose' your desktops.. it tiles them and lets you choose which one you want to go to.
a big improvement since past releases, i've noticed this one doesn't wipe out my wallpaper when i switch between screens.
well, i don't use my windows taskbar so i just dragged the toolbar out into the desktop, then turned object bar back on. the tool bar stays out in the open. i'm assuming that because it switches to another desktop and it hasn't wiped out my wallpaper this time, that something like desktop x will work on each of the desktops you switch to. so what if you took the desktop manger buttons and meshed them with your desktop? make them a dx item. would be interesting to see. maybe then i'd start using dx.
