Hi,
Without posting examples, I wanted to ask if there is a process a user can make to enlarge start buttons. I would upload an example, but I don't wish to make it seem like I'm singling out any particular WindowBlind artist. Certainly, whatever way the WindowBlind artist made is what they intended, and I'm not critiquing them or their choice. I'm only talking about any methods I might take in order to make things the way I prefer.
I'm sure most of us are aware of certain start buttons that by their nature seem to only fit 1/2 of the vertical spacing of the taskbar. For me, these would look to my preference if they were filling the entire vertical space of the taskbar. Is there a way of changing the size or vertical position of the start button within the taskbar? I don't see the ability to do that from within WindowBlinds. I'm not sure if it is something that is done within Start 11, but there are instances where start buttons are exclusive to WindowBlinds, and aren't released as independent start buttons.
Also, I have considered that my issue might be a consequence of running my monitor in 4k. I'm not sure if that might be a root cause, but perhaps it's a possibility. Due to running programs like Fences and having my screen real estate already pretty taken up, the ability of going down in resolution isn't really an option. If it is the case where running my WindowBlind in 4k is the issue, then I feel that there is an issue developers and artists must consider. Mind you, some of the buttons in question have been released in 2023. More and more people are running 4k monitors. I think there will be a time when it is inherent that most people will be running 4k monitors as video both APU and GPU's ever become more capable. I think it is probably time that if my issue is caused by running in 4k, that either on the programmers of WindowBlind's end or on the artists end (I'm not educated enough in the process of where the onus lies) some provision should be made so that when a WindowBlind is loaded on a screen running at 4k, that the Start button display on the taskbar in 4k just as it would in 1080p, or any other resolution.
Again, I'm not even sure if there is something with my issue being connected to running on a 4k monitor. I just bring it up in the event that it might be the issue. For the record, in the overwhelming majority of the time, this issue is not occurring for the various Windowblinds I choose to use. So I have some doubt that running in 4k may even be the issue.
Regardless, it would be helpful if there was a tool that would allow either (or both) the vertical resizing of the start button within a WindowBlind within the taskbar, or a vertical repositioning of the start button within the taskbar.
If there is no easy preprogrammed way to do this inherent to Windowblinds, is there a method I might employ to get the start button to fill the taskbar vertically? I also realize that doing this alone might distort the image. Therefore, I would hope that the solution would allow for a proportional resizing. Yes, it might take a slight more bit of horizontal space, but at least then it would be proportional.
Thanks in advance for any of your answers, and I also apologize in advance for my ignorance. I fully realize that what I am asking for might not be practical, or even what someone like me might in the end want if it were to have negative consequences that I currently don't understand. Thank you for your patience with me.
