IE is my choice. Sorta.

Firebird all the way. I used to be solidly in the IE camp, even used MYIE2 for quite some time, but I have found Firebird to be much stabler, and off much more capabilities. I can add them as I need them and am not "stuck" with whatever features are in the main client. To be sure MYIE2 does support plugins, but I have never seen many available.
To be sure Firebird at this stage may require a little digging and script altering to get the added benefits, but it is in beta.
Opera is a fine alternative in its own right, but I have always found it awkward to use. Sure it can be setup the way most browsers are, but at first it is too wierd. Plus the fact that you are stuck with ads if you use the free version. If I can use free without ads, then I'm all for it..... so Firebird wins.

I've tried Mozilla & the smaller Firebird, but for some reason, it just doesn't work smoothly on my computer. Everything from curser movements, to scrolling to whatever is very jerky and delayed. I gave up, and now I'm back to IE with the Avant Browser skin over it. I like its features, particularly the popup stopper, and it runs very smoothly.

As an aside, I found the same problem with Mozilla's email client, Thunderbird. I really don't want to use Outlook Express, because of all the embedded MS issues and the worms, virii, etc. Now, I use, of all things, Incredimail. It's got all that garbage and bloat, but it runs more smoothly than anything else I've tried, and I've tried alot. So, when are we going to start skinning Incredimail? That program has the most god awful ugly GUI on the planet, next to Zone Alarm (which is a great program anyway).

And, as long as I'm on the topic, do any of you anticipate skinning Palm, in addition to the Windows variety handheld device?

Avant Browser and MyIE is mostly the same.

Not trying to "push" the browser on you or anything but if you ever wanted to try it again, this is a nice page.

MyIE2 is my top choice now. I love it. It's perfect for me. I love the tabs, speed, skins, available controls, etc.

I used Opera for awhile and I still like it, but some pages I use don't work without IE.
I have friends that swear by Mozilla and Firebird , but both browsers run slow and seem clunky to me. It's funny how we can have such different experiences with the same product.
