Synco, you can get one of those for about $20 US. Most of them come with a surge protector for modem and AC plugs built in. I wish I could remember the exact name of it, but they come with a master switch and individual switches for each component. Like I said, I just plug everything from my computer into it. Most of them have switches labelled; master, computer, monitor, printer, Aux1, Aux2, etc... They are thin boxes with front switch access and everything plugs into the back of them. Therefore for example, you don't have to keep burning your printer just because your computer is on. Most computer stores will have them. The surge protectors are the same idea with multiple outlets and some of them offer free $20,000 US insurance against loss due to electrical damage with purchase of the unit. But, they are normally placed on the floor and are harder to access. Unless your monitor plugs into your computer, it will be on 24 hours a day. If you notice the light on it won't go out either even if you turn off the computer. One of these boxes sounds like the cure for you. Good Luck.
