Can not open saved group

Hi!

I clicked on the saved group shortcut, but windows needed an application to open it with. I chose groupy32.exe and then I tried most of the orher exe files. Nothing opens it.

After this I tried to open it from the groupy menu, but that did not do anything either.

Some details:

Windows 10
In the shortcut file I see this for example which is little weird because of "internet explorer" and "bins": \\AppData\\Roaming\\Microsoft\\Internet Explorer\\Quick Launch\\User Pinned\\Bins\\OpenOffice

Hello,

Sorry to hear you are having issues.

Need to know more information.

1) Windows 10 version. Please use Winver.exe.

2) Groupy version.

3) Is groupy running? If it does can you try to load the saved group using its 3 dot menu? Like below:-

Hi!

1.: Version 1709 (OS Build 16299.726) Windows 10 Pro

2.: Goupy version. Latest 1.18

3. Yes I tried that. - It did not work

Note: I can load saved file explorer group, but I can not load saved OpenOffice document group.

Hello,

Can you paste that OpenOffice group here. You can right click on that group and select open with -> Notepad. Copy the text and past it here.

Weird, because it was 3 different document and for some reason it seems like 1 document 3 times.

I tried one more time with 2 document and here is the result. (These are OpenOffice Calc documents.)

Sorry to hear you are having trouble.

The issue is the 'Target' as 'bin' is not an executable and then the proper referencing of the document.

I can get it to open the correct documents, I just can't get them to regroup. You can see here what I had to change in the Groupy file to do so:

You would be editing the target (the base OpenOffice exe) and the Command line (specifying the OO app and the document). The OwnerProcess did not seem to make a difference either way. Of course, you would need to use -calc for spreadsheets.

I will get with the devs on the grouping issue - thanks for the heads up.

Yes, I see what you mean. I did the changes and it opens the documents, but they did not regrouped for me either.
