Recently purchased CursorFX worked fine until one of the ZIP files I download crashed it
ran then disabled MalwareBytes / Hitman pro alert (gave CursorFX permissions) JRT- AdwareCleaner - CCleaner
found CursorFX in c:program files(86)- stardock - CursorFX (right clicked it troubleshoot - set it for windows xp)
located cursorFX files in library documents - public documents (right clicked a random cursor to trick it to work
also did 2 or 3 uninstalls - shut-downs - restarts
noticed when running process explorer / process monitor that cursorFX was stuck and a MS svchost was running wild (so did a bunch of PID force stops to try to trick it to bypass (should have opened up a CMD prompt and used Netstat -ano chkdsk netview and cross referenced the PID's online with the ip's displayed I did not because I know should generally be clean and this started shortly after I just made a clone of the C drive and did a cloud backup to Acronis)
After swapping the drives, and shutting down all Acronis pocessors/services/servers Permanently. CursorFX stopped working (no worries have a clone from before using Acronis but wanted to troubleshoot it to make CGI cursors without swapping drives again)
I am almost sure the fix was when I managed to trouble shoot it to MS and other 3d CGI developer accounts that I use when making some quick SFX, video game making software and animations
suggestions for any-one is to use autoruns - Process explorer - process monitor - JRT - Adwarecleaner - CCleaner - Hitman Pro Alert - MalwareBytes - Zamana (usually gets anything that malwarebytes and hitman pro alert misses) - and try to avoid using Acronis True Image for cloud backups CLONE the drive FIRST then cloud backup (until they fix a bunch of more issues)
Ether CursorFX needs a patch or vice versa for the software I have installed (either way I am allowing MS and a few trusted developer accts to run scans and patch as they go to resolve it in the windows directories)
I did notice that all processors and services in the entire PC have verified licensed certificated when I did a cross reference (leads me back to thinking Acronis trying to Mod my system again for their universal protection that I forced stop)
It could also have been the CursorFX zip file I tried to open and install
Hope some of these suggestions help any-one that gets stuck like I did in the last hour
