Hi, guys.
Since the release of Windows 10 with its godawfully ugly GUI I have been waiting for WindowBlinds 10 release to make the OS again pretty. So today I've bought 3 copies of WB10 for my computers and started playing with it on my main PC and to speak honestly I was kinda dissapointed. But hopefully it was because I didn't find some tweaks of how to make the GUI the way I want it so below are my questions and somebody with the knowledge please reply to them
1. First of all - blur! I LOVE Win7 AERO and when MS decided to get rid of the transparent "glass" in favor of the ugly "flat" look of Win 8 and Win 10 I was waiting for Stardock to fix it, especially as MS made some parts of Win10 GUI semi-transparent with blur again (Start menu, Action Center) and Stardock has implemented the blur feature perfectly with Start 10. Unfortunately, it seems like the blur is nowhere to be found in WindowBlinds 10, and it has just "clear transparency" option available (see screenshots http://cult-cinema.ru/personal/screenshots/wb10_no_blur1.jpg and http://cult-cinema.ru/personal/screenshots/wb10_no_blur2.jpg). Is it really so or I didn't find the right option to apply blur? If there is no such option, are you going to add blur in the future, as you have already in Start 10?
2. Now to Start 10 itself. Without any WB10 style applied, I can have Windows 7 style with "Default Theme" option, which I like a lot, but with any WB 10 style applied, I do not have this option anymore, only "WindowBlinds Theme", "Rounded Windows 7" and "Shadow" (see http://cult-cinema.ru/personal/screenshots/wb10_start10_lack_options.jpg). Is it by design? If so - is it possible to return the "Default" Start 10 theme?
3. Now back to WB10 styles options. It seems like it is not possible to change the overal color of a WB style the way I can do it with the standard Windows 10 theme. In standard Win 10 theme I can pick a color and it will be applied to the overal theme, - taskbar, start menu and windows title bars, but if I will pick the color in WB 10 style it doesn't change the overal color of everything, including windows title bars (see http://cult-cinema.ru/personal/screenshots/wb10_change_colors.jpg). The only thing it does, it seems, is changing the color when you move the mouse cursor over the open program in the taskbar, and that's it. So, the question is, how to apply a new color to the overal theme the way the standard Win 10 theme does?
4. And the final (so far) question it seems like continuation from the previous one. When you apply WB10 theme with its fixed colors of taskbar, it is not consistent with the color set in system for Start menu, Action Center and the small window when you click on a taskbar arrow to show the hidden icons (dunno the right name for this window
) - see http://cult-cinema.ru/personal/screenshots/wb10_different_colors1.jpg , http://cult-cinema.ru/personal/screenshots/wb10_different_colors2.jpg and http://cult-cinema.ru/personal/screenshots/wb10_different_colors3.jpg . So, my question is - how to make the color consistent for all of these system stuff, if possible?
5. And actually, so far none of the bundled themes looks like really good ones for me and some elements in them are inconsistent (in some themes more than in others, File Explorer looks especially awful in "Modern" theme, for example), while there are currently no "Windows 10 Ready" themes on WinCustomize.com also
What I am actually looking for is to make the standard Windows 10 theme like blurred transparent "glass" as the Action Center os Start menu is, and that's it
If there are some theme like this or soon will be for WB10, will be glad for the name and where to get it
Or something very close and elegant, I dunno, but with BLURRED GLASS!
