v6.0 is crashing Explorer or WDM multiple times a day on my Dell Precision M4800 (with Win 7)
I am also having the Windows Desktop Manager crashing several times a day. Altho, if you just click out of the WDM message, everything seems to work just fine. It is an annoyance that has started with the new version. The developers should know about it, and I would presume, are working to fix it.
I am experiencing the same issue with WindowFX version 6 under Windows 7 Ultimate, dwm.exe crashes frequently, usually when minimizing or closing windows that have WindowFX effects attached to them. Similarly, dwm.exe usually restarts immediately, but always leaves a minimized message that I must dismiss by closing. Sometimes, Aero gets turned off, then I have to fiddle some more to turn it back on. The problem is frequent, but not consistent, in that I can minimize/maximize a window 20 times without a problem, but then it occurs again. Usually the screen turns black in large areas until dwm.exe restarts, when it goes back to normal.
Another annoyance is that occasionally when I start a program, its window opens, but instead of the expected contents, I get a window filled with what appears to be an enlarged, pixelated version of part of the program's icon graphic. I must close the program and restart it, then it will open normally. This also occurs somewhat randomly, and less frequently than the dwm.exe appcrash. (Here's the detail from one such crash of dwm.exe:)

I am experiencing these problems on a Dell Inspiron 3520 laptop running Windows 7 Ultimate.
I hope some progress can be made on hunting down these issues, as the improvement to the visual effects in version 6 of WindowFX are noticeably better than those in the previous version 5, particularly the "burn" effect, and the "wobbly windows" effect (which works so well in the WindowFX mode that I didn't even try the Compiz setting!). (Just my personal opinion.)

PS: Off topic, but shouldn't there be a "Preview" button somewhere, so that one can see what the post looks like prior to actually posting it?! Whoops, found it, but boy, is it tiny!! The 'block quote' doesn't seem to work as I expected, either.
