I have no problem doing that again... but I believe (if I recall correctly) a few other users have reported the issue over the last year or two. At first, when it happened after I upgraded to Windows 8 (the week it was RTM), I thought it was a problem unique to me, so I performed a clean install of Windows 8, installed drivers in the proper order, installed Comodo Internet Security, then installed the software I use via Object Desktop Manager.
As soon as my laptop resumed from sleep, the custom color (0,163,255) I had set for Tooltip and Window Text had reverted to the windows default of black (which is an issue because most of my custom skin is dark gray (25,25,25 - 50,50,50); The same occurs when resuming from hibernate. The only way to fix the issue is to re-apply the skin. Prior to the latest, or previous update, when the skin would reapply, it would auto change all font size settings set within the Display control panel (which was fixed in one of the recent updates).
I do know the rainmeter issue I experience is unique to me, and for reasons beyond my knowledge, after I apply any WindowBlinds skin many of the rainmeter skins present as opaque; the only fix of which is either to exit and reload rainmeter/omnimo or force close the Desktop Windows Manager (which causes the entire desktop to reload, fixing the issue).
EDIT:
I never had this issue on Windows 7 and this is isolated to Windows 8/8.1
