I take it you're using the trial? Please let us know where you dl'd from. Were there problems during the dl or installation.
When you write to support@stardock.com, give them that info as well as your OS/firewalls/AV software...it'll help the folks there.
When you get the "autoreply", DON'T answer it. Save it...it has your 'ticket number'.
Wait for an actual person to answer before you reply.
A good practice is to create a "Restore point" before installing any software, btw.
If you have a recent one, you should be able to get your old desktop back...
