"Fences does not appear to be loaded."

The old Fences worked perfectly without flaw, then out of random it decided to fail on me after booting my PC up one day. I check the site to download it and re-install, then I get greeted with new annoying inconveniences like email requirements to spam me with newsletters, only to be told that it's still not working and needs reinstalled.

After reinstalling and making sure none of its files were left behind, it still fails to load and gives the same message.

I've searched around and can't find any solutions so this. Anyone have a fix? I'm on Win7 Ultimate 64x

At this time, you might be better off trying Fences 2

I used to get this same error when I installed Fences to a drive other than my C drive. Never did figure out what the problem was.

Fences 2 is what I've been trying to install. I just uninstalled it then found a download for Fences 1.01, both giving the exact same error.

I have the same problem here. At first I used Fences 1.01.143 for a long times and nothing happens. Then one day I install Fences 2 just for testing, then for some reasons I uninstall it and go back to the earlier version. That's when I cannot use it like before. As I recall, explorer.exe crashes once, after that, every time I tried to open Fences it said "Fences does not appear to be loaded. You may need to reinstall Fences."

FYI, I did reinstalled it several times, rebooting like instructions but nothing changes.

Any suggestions on how to fix this. I've looked for this in other threads, too. Fences is really nice, nothing can replace it.

Flameo and DatPotter, give this a try.

Download Revo Uninstaller (the free version will do). Use it to uninstall Fences then have it scan on moderate. When completed, delete anything it marks in bold print. Reboot then re-install Fences.

By looking at the fences icon, it's obvious what is wrong. There's a board loose.

Sadly this didn't work neither, but thank you for the suggestion.

It's looking like the only way to sort this error right now is from a reformat. Which sucks considering Fences was such an important part of my desktop.
