Fences Flicker when an Application Launches

I have an annoying problem.  I have Fences Pro v1.1.0.419.  I had some problems with CPU usage, so I had to reinstall Windows 7 several times.  This last time, I resolved my problems, but I have a new one.  I have a dual-display setup with 2 24" displays.  On the primary display, I have two fences, Programs and Data.  Whenever I launch any program from the "Programs" fence, both fences flicker in the foreground (about 4 times/second) until the program finishes loading.  This is extremely annoying.

 

I installed Fences as administrator.  I have Fences set to run with Administrator privilege, but the problem continues.  What can I do to stop this?  What information do you require to resolve this problem?

Hi,

I am suffering a similair problem with my fences interface.

Please see vid I found from another Stardock user who is suffering similiar issue -

Basically opening anything while running fences pro and deskscapes produces flicker/flashes in fences and associated icons, the occassional explorer crash in certain situations.

I am running W7Pro64 on Gigabyte GA-EX58-UD5; Core i7 920 (@3Ghz); 6GB DDR3; Asus EAH5850; AMD Catalyst 12.4; Avast Antivirus.

Any advice welcome.

I have the same problem. I'm running Fences and Deskscapes on a Windows 7 64-bit machine. Graphics card is an nVidia 560 Ti with the latest non-beta drivers. I'm hoping there's a real fix soon. I have repeatedly contacted support@stardock.com. They never reply.

Do you have a ticket #?  It's possible your emails aren't making it to us.  You can also try manually creating a ticket here:

It's possible, but given that I've had the same email address since the 1990's, and have been a Stardock customer since 2001, it seems unlikely that they'd all fail.  In any case, I don't have a ticket for this particular issue, as I hadn't encountered it until recently.  I'll submit one.

I'm experiencing the same thing as well, on both my laptop and desktop. My CPU usage also goes all the way to 100% on all my cores.

 

I do use DeskScapes on both of them, too.

 

I find that this flickering also occurs when I double-click the desktop to hide/show fences.
