Nice!
I'm not seeing the kind of mouse I'd like. I've considered making one before. No better fit than to craft it yourself. I also would like to make a hot-key pad. Wood seemed to be the ideal medium to work with. More direct and simpler than making form, casting mold, then pouring cast. And no plastic fumes to pollute habitat. Wood is also I think, the superior material for touch and ascetic concern. I've saved out some Oak from a tree that fell across the driveway this last winter. The rest we bucked to firewood. Bummer. I'm having new thoughts on it's use.
I got too many projects to delve much into hobby. But some are money makers. Money Making Hobbies compel pursuit. So if I make for myself a wood mouse, then I learn the process, have made jigs, have acquired the requisite tools and material, and have a basic cost accounting. I'm not talking mass sales here. Just another of a variety of crafts to put on website. A curiosity for sale along with the other wood, leather, and fabric craft. What you see on site, is what is offered for sale. Clothing to be the main line, and be run industriously. A job, a business. Singles sold locally and online. Occasionally offering case lots to merchants as the product comes available. Whereas wood, leather and other, will be made as hobby, then sold as curio. Thereby promoting hobby time, while interjecting added enjoyment to the money making.
Judging by interest in this thread, I'd wager a person could sell a few hand crafted mice and key-pads. If they were of quality, and good function.
Something to consider once some initial steps have been overcome.
