Another exciting day, another exciting idea, 3 days of work constantly then *boom* excitement is gone and routine takes place.
Now I *have* to do this, I *have* to finish it. Rob infected me with the excitement of a new project that lasts as long as the first working functions are built.
We both work very hard when a project is exciting. We work so much that we push the limits, beating our own records.
First thing in the morning, you wake up, do your morning wash in a hurry then sit in a chair until you feel like there is no more energy left to even keep your head up, and you wonder if you can make it to the bed. The cat comes to say hi you're pushing her off the table, "Cat, wanna go for a fly?" the dog is trying to impress you with a ball sticking in its mouth, you maybe unconsciously realize there is a ball in the room..err a dog in the room. You make yourself sleep fast, and sometimes wake up in the middle of the "night" and tell yourself "what a wonderful morning", then smile at the chair in front of your computer.
It lasts 3 days. Then you have the first scripts working, first bits of content added in the probably online administration, you have a working, unfinished, cool, but old by now project and you're depressed. "Why did it have to end?"
The next few days you're looking through your "to-do" list and try to finish some of the old projects, whining about how boring they are. The cat comes to say hi and you actually pet her with slow moves, some people would say you're asking for compassion. "Don't you feel sorry for me, cat?". The dog comes by and you're throwing the ball, playing.
It all ends. Your heavy head rests in your hand, and your mouse is drawing imaginary lines on your
desktop..right clicking by accident showing a well known menu and an option in it that catches your attention, "Properties". You can't help it. Displaying your desktop properties is the end of your boredom, depression and the beginning of a new, exciting project: My Desktop.

Hi everyone, my name is Naomi Martinson, the above story is my first contact with NextStart.
I'm picking this board over DeviantArt or Skinz.org or any other well known sites on the matter just because it feels more friendly. Hopefully once been accepted in your community, I'll have the opportunity to contribute to this website as you all do.
