Hey folks,
I'm pretty new to the forums, but have been using OD+ for a few years now. I currently run Vista x64 and therefore don't get to use all the options OD+ offers (namely start menu and system tray)
Through a giveaway website, I got a copy of Nexus Ultimate, which is a similar dock to OD+. I find it does a pretty good job and wanted to share some of things it does that OD+ does not.
Can anyone comment on if OD 2.0 has some comparable features? I'm debating switching to the beta but don't want to spend the money if some of these features are missing.
Features Nexus has
- start menu support (i know this is supported in OD 2.0)
- full system tray support (all icons are shown, and single clicking & right clicking on systray icons works flawlessly, something I've heard OD doesn't do well)
- icon reflection
- icon spacing (choose # of pixels between icons)
- support for middle clicking tasks (default is to close on middle click)
- a recent items tab (for the tabbed dock) that lists the recently opened documents from the start menu
If OD 2.0 supports these items, please let me know, thanks!
