For XP, check your setting for the .dream filetype extension. Login with full administrator privileges. Go into Windows Explorer (as opposed to Internet Explorer) tools/folder options/file types, select dream extension. Click the "advanced button", make sure the box is checked for "Confirm open after Download" is checked. Then after you leftclick on download it should ask you if you want to open or save the file.
I'm Vista/Win7 ignorant, don't know if there's a similar way to go about it there. If there is, you would want to do it while running with all the admin rights etc., however you do that.
If you get it changed, make note of how you do it. It may get changed back after an update or reinstall.
Also, I've seen this come up for Win7 elsewhere but not seen an answer for it, so if you figure it out it would be good for you to post it back here, there are at least a couple of other people who'd appreciate it. Thanks.
