Putting it bluntly, the blow-up doll for the pooch makes better sense than 99% of the... um... wacked out ideas on that page.

However, the author shows his ignorance regarding Hi-Fi cabling. I don't know that mains product, it being foreign, but clean mains power makes a massive difference to sound quality. So does high quality cabling.

Honestly, you spend £10,000.00 on amplification then stick a 50p plug into a cheap plastic wall socket. Or use 25pppm cable from Tandy. Yeah, right...

Actually, my rottweiler, when I had him, was better trained than that.... was excellent at getting rid of peddlers and religious door-knockers, though.

I could leave the front door open, but he would no way step beyond the door riser unless he had his leash on... not that unwelcomed door knockers knew it.  Anyway, when I saw them approaching I'd say: "Nels (short for Nelson), who's at the door... who's at the door?"... he'd front up at the door snarling and growling all vicious like, and they turned tails and ran like buggery.

The other thing they didn't know was that he was gentle as a kitten and wouldn't harm anyone/anything.  He was a bloody good actor, though.

Yeah, it's a bit like another one I saw... not that I could post it here, though.  Had to do with an experimental 'implant' and ED.... working off electrical impulses from the brain for a more 'natural' response.

The real shock was the $22, 000 AUD price tag... then about 11 grand for the surgery/hospital fees.

No....no it wouldn't, because most dogs don't hump legs because they're sexually aroused -- most dogs hump legs because it's a sign of dominance, and since blow-up bitch doesn't display any signs of dominance to threatened the live dog's position in the household, but rather just stands there, submissively, without any classic signs of life or pack order (no eyes to lock with, no teeth to bare, no tail to hold high and no ears to hold up), Hotsex doll for dogs is going to do nothing but collect dust where ever the owner puts it. 

Whomever invented this "item," does not understand dog behavior, and anyone who would BUY this item for their dog, would be much better served spending that money on a good dog trainer, rather than this outlet for their dog problem.

You're spot on there, Karen.  My rotty would never have used such an item - sexually or to assert his dominance - so it would have sat collecting dust in a cupboard somewhere doing nothing.  I think that's why it was listed in the worst (most useless) gadgets list, cos anyone with half a brain knows it would serve no useful purpose... for a dog, that is.

Yeah, the leg humping thing was just a bit of tongue-in-cheek to add a bit of fun, nothing more.  I must admit, though, I really miss Nelson... he was the bestest dog ever, well trained and so lovable to boot.  Sadly, we had to move interstate, which upset his routine, etc, and that, I believe, gave some low-life *@%!&!*% the opportunity to steal him from the yard while we were out one day.
