OK, so I wanted to change the default Recycle Bin icons in ObjectDock, so I downloaded an icon I liked. It was PNG so I went to Dock Entry Properties and replaced the default icon with the one I downloaded. It worked and looked fine. Then I deleted the PNG files I had in my computer and the icon turned into question mark. I realized that I would have to keep the icon PNG file in my PC or it to stay like that. Why is that? I got icons for Firefox and uTorrent as well and I cold just delete them and they still showed in ObjectDock. Help please. Do you guys have to keep your PNG files as well or is it something wrong with me?
If you delete the file, how's the image meant to load , you have to keep it, if it no longer exists, of course it's going to be blank ... unless a duplicate is made and stored elsewhere.. I don't know..
the same thing happened to me quite often..i would delete files forgetting i need those files and my recycle bin would turn into (?).. as meowgirl said, best to preserve files. i learned lesson from that. anyway, all my objectdock icons are saved in folder marked "objectdock library" for easier identification.
