Random Crashes with CursorFX and Vista 64

I got a new pc and among the myriad pieces of software I have installed is CursorFX.  I started getting random crashes and I determined that when CursorFX is enabled, the crashes occur and when it is not, they do not. 

Here are the crashes I have seen:

volmgr, Event ID 46 - Crash dump initialization failed!

Faulting application nwn2main.exe, version 1.0.21.1549, time stamp 0x491c9fcd, faulting module atiumdag.dll, version 7.14.10.612, time stamp 0x48b8d00a, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x0025ef25, process id 0xd38, application start time 0x01c96b25707023cb.

Here is my system info:

Windows Vista 64(6.0.6001), Service Pack 1
Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E8400 @ 3.00GHz
ATI Radeon HD 4850 Series, 512.00 MB
4GB RAM

i think you will find its neverwinter nights that is causing the problem rarther then cursorfx

yup NeverWinterNights, heard that it may be ATI related and also heard NWM isnt vista friendly...

Neverwinter Nights may stop responding on it's own, BUT without NWN running, if I enable CursorFX, the entire OS becomes sluggish within MINUTES.  And by sluggish I mean - the mouse freezes and it takes 3-5 minutes for screen to change when I press CTRL+Alt+Delete.  And after I bring up the task manager, I have no cursor at all!

If I forcibly reboot the pc, within minutes of the desktop appearing, the same thing happens.  With CursorFX disabled, I have not had any problems (except the occasional NVN crash).  I've tried several different cursors, but that doesn't matter.

Can you check the task manager to see what processes are currently running? Can you tell us what the cost of CursorFX is?

Also are you on the latest drivers for your card?

Cost of CursorFX?

 I believe he is asking for the resources being consumed by cursorFX. ( as shown in the taskmanager)
