how can I setup a 'default' objectdock for multiple users?

I've setup a default objectdock with the icons and settings that I want, and then I save the theme. Then I copy the user profile that I created it under to the 'default user' profile. The idea being that anyone that logs into the PC after that will get the objectdock that I have already setup. However when I test it with another user, it loads the object dock without my theme that I had created and saved. Any ideas??

It might be easier to just save the theme and then log into each account and apply it.

No, it's not easier. There's no shared dock feature. I've already posted about this, but was ignored.

it wasn't actually ingored - there were 3 replies of which the 2nd post had a question , with no reponse

Im not sure it can be done - I tried it a bunch of ways when I 1st saw a post about it about 2yrs ago

even replacing the other's ini file with yours doesn't work, neither does the cache, etc

i think it's because ODock by design is built to be indivially customized

same with the other apps.. you can't make your WB default for everyone, nor your dtx theme, nor your cursor, etx

your best bet may be to send a request to support to see if it can be done and if so, how

Ahh, that ‘unanswered’ question… I’ve really answered it.

Flyout menu doesn’t work because I have somethong about 20+ games and the list is growing constantly. It’s a headache to find the game I want to play using flyout menu, as I can see about 6-5 items on-screen simultaneously. I’ll have to spin that damn wheel for ages.

As I’ve mentioned in that post, shared launchpads (which are really shared toolbars) are easily made using standard Windows features – and they are hard to make using Stardock’s software. Which makes me choose: either use dull and grey Windows toolbars, which I can set up quickly for all my family, or fancy (and sometimes more functional) ObjectDock. I think it’s in Stardock’s interests to make me purchase their product instead of using Windows features. That’s the point.

And yes, another feature unavailable in Stardock’s product. When I worked in the office, I’ve used Windows feature that allowed me to easily create announcement board visible to all users. Simple.

1. Create a HTML document. Notepad will work OK, no need of advanced software, or you can just import Word document as HTML.
2. Put that document in shared network folder.
3. On each computer, create Active Desktop element that points to the HTML document created in step 1.

As a result, everybody in local network can see announcements that I put into that HTML document right on their desktops. And no need to have real dedicated server (we didn’t have such stuff in that office). The only downside was that if someone accidentally closes that Active Desktop element, he will miss all the announcements… But still it was easy and something reliable. And I wonder why DesktopX doesn’t have such functionality…
