#1. I will not buy anything AMD

#2. I refuse to use a 32 bit system as is Windows 7 [even if it is made to be 64 bit - it is still only a compatible system as with Vista] I'll wait for Windows 8 and use Vista 64 in the mean time.

#3. You will have to buy graphic softwares for 64 Bit...ie. CS4 by Adobe is being designed for 64 bit hard core graphics! [ And is a very good buy too!]

#4 I refuse to buy anymore Corel software after my experience with support they have. [Very poor!] 

I am presently building a i7 x58 EVGA board with EVGA graphics which is the top of the field for i7 at the moment. This one is for the boy [my 17 yr old game playing son]. Thus he can play the most of his games with this machine using just the 2 sli configuration.

Next year I plan to build me a new machine with i7 again and it will built as a graphics encoder machine. By then I will have the basic program for Windows 8 running and be ready to be testing how it will run on a true 64 bit configuration with more than 24 gigs of ram. [I hope by then or as soon as it comes out]

I believe the program will come on a chip! Direct from MS - chip provided by Intel [made strcitly for i7 and 64 bit!] With these new computer setups via this type of software delivery and settings we will overcome the piracy of softwares by foriegn powers.

Short note:

 You ask why EVGA? Because they stick with what they build and do their customers very right in the long run. I've had some very good experiences with EVGA and with that I'd be very hard to change to another company supporting Intel and MS. Others I've tried and they failed in bad support and customer relations. Thus EVGA has a very good track record with me and I'll support them as they do me.

That also goes for Stardock! They have supported me with very good support! [actually excellent!] Thus I'll do the same and do my best to stand beside them. Companies that stand with their customers in such a manner is the best to have and I'll always buy from and keep buying from for that reason. Oh and of course the good products too! Both are number #1...

PS.  I'm not dreaming at all!  This is a for sure plan for the future of all new computers to come here in the near future!

Completely! For a very good reason...

No offense to AMD chips and their design. But my experience has been better with Intel. I do not prefer to have to compare their findings for what they see as better than the other guys chip and such. It is always a race... but Intel is a partner of mine in design and that of exploring what is the future. I've been with them since the get go with what is the Super Computing Age. Thus I'll stay with what I know to be the best as it is. I've always found good support and help for my problems with Intel and as far as that goes with Microsoft. Believe me when I say that the age is upon us and that these two companies are going to be the first to set the rules for what is going to be for the better at what you use in a computer. Meaning only that what they plan to do is protect what they have from others copying such great advancements for their own use. That protection is so everyone can have what is already available to the some which can be trusted to keep this information to themselves.

Computer science is a very vast field and being we are the top of the field here in the United States. We need to keep it that way.

Would you give the information that a foriegn power may use to over throw your government or even that of your finacial stablity? No of course not... Then these things have to be considered with the making of this information available to the public sector. Thus is the new Windows 8 for use by the public sector using 64 bit computing.

I put my trust in the companies which are involved directly with said ideas in mind and hold to giving a good amount of support for the same reason.

Reread your post.

You're advocating that Windows 7/8 run only on Intel machines.  (Actually, you're advocating that it run only on i7 machines, but that's another can of worms entirely.  Basically, what on earth are people to do when they upgrade to i8?)

There is everything wrong with that idea.  For one, it goes against your theory that you mean no offense to AMD.  You have the option of not using them-that doesn't give you, or anyone else, the right to take away someone else's option to use them.

And furthermore, while I'm not a lawyer, my understanding is that if Microsoft chose to have an OS that would only run on Intel systems, that it would be illegal, at least at present.  I'm not sure offhand what exactly it would violate, but I'm positive it would violate something.  If you can prove otherwise, more power to you.  Either way, Microsoft won't do it because they'd be shooting themselves in the foot.

As far as the OS on a chip comment goes-I have no issue with that, and in fact have been "dreaming" of something like it for many years now.  Piracy isn't the only issue, either-it's much easier to keep a system "clean" that way.

Sounds like a nice rig. 

I myself will always stick with a PC, 'cuz I can't stand the way the cursor works in OS X.  I mean, the mouse is supposed to be a precision instrument, but they made it so that it's virtually impossible to move it a small amount (move the mouse a lot, it's fine, but move the mouse a little, the cursor doesn't move).  They killed precision for a nice, smoothly moving cursor, and I hate it.

Although it might just be isolated to the Macs we have at the university, though I couldn't find a setting anywhere that let you turn that off.

Agreed and I hope here in some future state we all can find what it is we all need and want for the best computing experience there is.

I just have my preferences and I plan to look at all the ins/outs of every aspect for the future. But I also plan to keep what is made here - here where it is made at - here in the USA. I do not care to share much more than that. I do not care for other countries and the way they treat our science of computing as their own. Too many pirates out there and too many copy cats with only their interest in mind. When we all learn to work together for the greater goal. Then we may find a way to get along and share things again.
