Thanx guys, I know (now) that buying WindowBlinds doesn't reset the activations. The thing is, I didn't know it then. And when the install said that the activation limit had been reached, I just assumed that I was playing the cards I had dealt myself and rebought it. It's only $20 for a top notch program so it's not a biggy. Only once I had a problem with the program and in talking with an extremely helpful girl at Stardock Support, she walked me through the problem and we got to talking and only then did I find out that the activations could be reset. Hey, if when I first found the product it was $60, I still would have bought it - lol - so I am all good on that.
I was just hoping for a way to not bother the folks over at Stardock Support over what is admittedly something I have chosen to do.
But on the other side of the coin, I have other programs that I have purchased and WindowBlinds is the only one with 'Activation Limits' - I mean it's either coming into that IP address or it's not, no matter how many times you install it.
The idea from James on snapshoting the drives is something I can try to learn up on. Or take my wife out to dinner.......
