I have been theming for number of years. And, I must admit that first learning SKS5 was a bit of a challenge. Now, with the release of SKS6, it seems I have another challenge. Trying to get back functional features that were in SKS5.
I am not one to care what interface looks like, I want it to be functional and practical. SKS6 has accomplished polishing up the user interface but, has given away all it's functional capabilties.
First huge gripe......there is no option for setting up which graphics program you want to use to edit images. It automatically opens up into whatever you have set as your default editor. I use a couple different graphics programs. I know your going to say just change your default program in windows. Depending on what I am editing, I want the option to choose which program I want to use for editing.
Second gripe......after editing the image the interface in SKS6 does not update your changes. Once you close out the window, like it or not, your stuck with what you did. I know it was made clear of this in the beta of changes being permanent but, come on Windowblinds 6 is already out.
Third gripe.......When setting sizing margins of an image, more particular any oval type shape. When you resize the image to set margins it takes your oval shape and turns it square. The images default for editing are so small you need to resize tham. So, what's worse snall image or incorrect porportions?
Fourth gripe..... try setting image margins without grid lines showing. Good luck!
Stardock my suggestion is develop SKS5 into Vista compatibilty. SKS6 is really nothing but all show an no go!
