With the release of the new Bruce Springsteen CD "Magic" Sirius Satellite Radio has been running E Street Radio on one of their channels (the channel normally known as 'The Bridge') 24x7, playing through all things Bruce Springsteen related including private recordings, interviews, bootlegs, commercial recordings, etc. Also sprinkled in heavily are plays of songs from the new disc.
Anyway, Sirius has also offered the opportunity to fans to have them call in and be guest music jockeys, introducing their favorite recordings and songs, or sharing their own private recordings and such (and offering up stories about seeing Springsteen in concert, etc.). One such fan was introducing the song Jungleland earlier and in doing so described it as the final song on what is (their words) perhaps the greatest rock and roll album of all time: Born to Run.
It leads me to the question in the headline for this article -- what is, in your not so humble opinion (big wide grin), the greatest album/CD you've ever heard?
For purposes of this discussion, please confine your responses to commercially available recordings, or at least to pre-recorded music, rather than mix-tapes, home brew CD compilations, etc.
My own reply will be in the comments area, but I'm curious what others own favorites are and why those choices were made so please speak up and tell everyone what your choices would be.
