Well in Australia 18 is the legal age for everything. So 21 isn't that bigof deal unless I decided to visit USA or elsewhere where the legal age is 21 - but it's still pointless for me because I don't drink. smoke or take drugs.
(I don't have an aversion to alcohol as such - I only drink things I like the smell of and the only akcoholic drink I like the smell of so far is Midori combined with lots of lemonade.)
