I've just started to use Object dock myself. The link to the Wiki is where you want to srart. Once you read through there it is really just a bunch of trying and seeing what you like.
The hardest part for me was figureing our how to change the individual icons in the dock. Which by the way isn't that hard.
Your shot looks like you have that figured out, they don't look like the defaut icons that came up when I started.
