After 2 years, featuring over 10 sections and nearly 200 screen savers,
the WinCustomize screen saver gallery is impressive.
An Excellent Growing Collection (Feb 3, 2007)
I wrote that statement six months ago concerning the
WinCustomize.com Screen Saver Gallery…..what difference 6 months makes.
Since then, over 45 new and cool screen savers have been added. Now, with the additions of screen saver galleries at other skinning sites, there is no better time for those who make screen savers to share their work.
This is an invitation to all who have made or who want to make screen savers to go and check out the sites mentioned as well as the rest of the skinning community and start sharing your work.
At
Skinartistry.com, the most recent site to add a screen saver gallery. This site is also great for feedback and has a WIP (Work In Progress) section, so you can have your new screen saver tested by others before you upload.
At
Skinning.net, not only do they have great feedback and a WIP section. The site’s admin are top notch and are always there for input. Also at both Skinartistry.com and Skinning.net have in their upload sections, a feature where you can enter a link for a demo of your screen saver if you have one, so that users can see a preview of your screen saver.
At
Skinnalicious.net, they know screen savers. A team of artists, some have made their own share of screen savers. This site has great feedback.
At
SkinBase.org, I love what they have done at this site. The site is full of great people that would welcome your work.
Lastly, I want to say thank you to all who have downloaded and commented on the Skinner’s World RSS Reader screen saver. The comments and suggestions have been inspiring and encouraging. I have other projects in the works besides screen savers. For example, I am making Bootskins and LogonXP to go with some of my screen savers. Plus, I want to make a few more SysMetrix skins. Also, I will be monitoring Axialis for the upgrade to their Professional Screen Saver producer 4.0
