Can't Read Font on Vista Logon Screen

I successfully created a Logon screen with my company logo using LogonStudio. The issue I have run into is that I am unable to read the Font used on the logon/shutdown screen due to the Light colored background. The Font color Vista uses is White - and I am not locating any info online on how to change this color to some thing darker.

The easy fix would be to alter the logo to from dark item with light background to the reverse. But in the long run, that is not a solution.

It is not a huge deal, but I suppose I would like to know if Windows Vista was showing an error. As it stands, I can not read any of the Startup/Shutdown messages. There is only one user account on the notebook and I can see the icon. But the user name under the icon is nearly invisible.

Last I read, the only thing you can change on the Vista Logon is the wall used.

However, maybe, browse the vista logon gallery and see if there are any in which the font color has been changed. If so, get it and open it up and take a look see....

Bichur is right, you can't change the font color yet.

Hopefully that will be possible in a future version of LogonStudio Vista.

You can change the font color by editing the unifile section of the authui.dll file located in the System32 folder. Be sure to make a backup copy of the original file first. The font colors are located under the MainFrameStyle section of the uifile. There are two forground color sections, the first changes the username color and the second will change the welcome and shutdown messages.
