How can I get a multiple-row "Dock Drawer" in ObjectDock?

ObjectDock only allows one row of tabs in a "Dock Drawer"

- I have 48 categories of shortcuts.
- Each category needs to have a tab of its own.
- This results in 48 tabs.

The way I would like it organized is...
I would like a 4-level (up to down) dock-drawer.
That means 4 rows of tabs.
Each row containing 12 tabs.

Objectdock only allows one dock-drawer, per side of the screen.
I would like to have this limit expanded.
I would like 4 rows per side of the screen.

Can anyone help me?

PaulEscobar Simply opening the already created tab & using the diagonal arrow keys easily stretchs the tabbed dock.

I use this in the opposite direction to create a single tab with only 2 items on the dock. You can also stretch the width as well. I also use 1 tab for my system tray only & I have a total of 4 rows showing.

Can you not change the catagories to include more similar apps as an example :

Graphics tab can include shortcuts as follows : paint,all stardock app shortcuts,webshots or some other sim wallpaper changer etc

Office tab includes: works,notepad,calc,excel,outlook,adobe,sticky notes etc

you get the general idea

And as a ObjectDock skinner it is something I would not like to see added. It would be very limiting in what we can do with the tabs design wise.

This is not possible.

Is it really that big of a problem?

FireFox had a similar limitation.

By default, Firefox limits bookmarks/tabs to one row.
Any excess is forced off-screen.

So instead of accepting this...
People simply modified some settings to allow multiple rows:
Multiple Tab Rows
Multiple Rows of Bookmarks

Isn't there some ObjectDock file/code I can modify to achieve my goal?

I do alot of research on my computer.
So not only are program links involved...there are also content folders.

The more general my categories are...the more I have to sort through.
The more specific my categories are...the quicker I can access what I want.

This is the reason I need 48 tabs.

As a ObjectDock skinner it is something I would not like to see added. It would be very limiting in what we can do with the tabs design wise.

In this case...art is hampering my usage.
So I can't agree with your statement.

Well, what You could do is set up the main categories with tabs and then create folders with shortcuts in them and let the objectdock icons open the shortcut folder as a menu. If You categorized Your startmenu it is even more easy : Let the shortcut hint to the appropriate folder in the startmenu.

I have a similar issue to the original poster.

I have been using the TabLaunchpad available in Object Desktop. TabLaunchpad automaticaly creates multiple rows of tabs if the tabs won't fit on one line. My main TabLaunchpad had two rows of tabs. The reason is that after setting it up, I adjusted the size so that the tab with the most entries would just fit in the entire launchtab. I am trying to replace my TabLaunchpads with ObjectDock Plus. It works very well except for the tabs; it only has one row of tabs.

With the ObjectDock Plus as it now is, I end up with a dock which stretches all the way across the screen, even though icons only need about a third of the screen. The rest of the space is needed so that the tabs are readable.

Anybody have any ideas?
