I've been using WB for the past couple of years with no issues at all.....until yesterday.
I started having the following problems:
1) When I open the WB configuration window, the borders + the max, min and close tabs are MISSING from the window.
2) If I select to apply the XP Luna theme....it applies the Windows CLASSIC theme instead.
3) When I select and apply a WB skin/style...upon reboot it reverts back to the blue (Luna) XP theme with the tray icons bigger in size and lower in resolution. At times....it tries to load the WB theme, but it remains the XP theme.
These were the steps I took to try to resolve the issue:
-uninstall Stardock Central + WB
-clean registry + remove any leftover folders/files
-update video card driver (ATI) to latest version
-ran "sfc /scan now" and "chkdsk /r" to repair any potential windows errors
-re-install SDC + WB
Unfortunately it did not resolve this issue.
This is strictly a Windowblinds problem because on a different image (prior to installing Stardock Central and WB)....the Window XP style theme and the Classic style theme change without a hitch (right click desktop > properties > appearance tab > "windows and buttons" drop-down box).
As soon as I install WB....the problems mentioned above occur.
Could it be some WB settings issue of some kind? What about a corrupt dll or registry file(s) that is not corrected with a re-install?
I have emailed Stardock's tech support but I also wanted to post this here hoping that someone else had a similar issue in the past and can recommend a fix.
Thanks.
