I have a fresh install of Windows XP SP2 that I'd like to customize a bit and I've installed LogonStudio (twice now) but I can't get it to work.
The program opens and registers the .logonxp filetype correctly, but when I try to apply a custom logon I have one of the following problems:
- Using an included "welcome#" logon:
It applies but the background image is distorted and the colors are all wrong, like an old 256 color game in the wrong color pallete.
- Using any of several logons downloaded from Wincustomize:
When I try to apply it I get a string of Parse errors and it immediately returns to my desktop.
- Using a logon I try to make from scratch (including just click New and making a new one without changing anything from the default):
Everything disappears except the desktop background and the system hangs. When I reset it the Welcome screen is disabled and I have to logon with the old style dialog box.
I'm using version 1.0.64. I have a decent ATI based graphics card with the latest drivers and I don't think it's a problem with my video card. Any suggestions greatly appreciated!
