Hehe ..it's "IconPackager"
...anyway ...
"IconPlacker" ...uses ".png" icons due to their size and clarity. [usually 128x128 or 256x256 pixels in size]
Whilst you can put IconPackager icons onto a dock ...they'll appear somewhat blurry/fuzzy, because they're smaller, they're in .ico format ~and will enlarge when you put them on the dock. [It's a proportion thing ]
Better to grab dock icons in .png format.
But that's your call ...it's up to you.
Hope that helped you a little. ........I'm off to plack some icons

You know Giz, ...I thought of mentioning Iconifier as well ..but then thought it might be information overload.
It is a very handy tool, Collector5. I've also been using it since AndreasV first made it available.
...could'nt be without it now.
128x128 ico files work just fine.
I personally don't see the point of converting ico to png .......... either format works well. To each his own.
Indeed ...
You know, I just noticed that when I replied last night I said "IconPackager uses .png icons" ?! ...Idiot me.
I meant the dock's use .png's ...but as Koasati and others have said, you can use both. He's right about the 128x128 icons working well. I'd just never tried them at that size. First ones I tried were 32x32, and looked terrible for some reason ..so I stuck with .png's from then on.
apologies for the misinformation ...I'll just go back to my corner now.
Interesting little glitch [or something] just happened as I was posting the above ...as I clicked on "post comment" a little box popped up, which said "Sorry, but you cannot reply within the next 31 seconds"
...so I waited, but what/why was that?
Never come across that one before...
