For all of those folks that thought that the Joe User bashing of teachers is just a recent phenomenon, I can go back to the 1940's, well before JU even existed, back to a time when that silly Mrs. Welch almost let Zuzu Bailey die of pneumonia because the child left school without closing her coat because she was trying to protect the flower her teacher had given her.
Poor George Bailey, it wasn't until after his date with destinity, and even a punch in the face from Mr. Welch (the teacher's husband) that he realized what his life was really worth.
Smart teacher though, telling little Zuzu that every time a bell rings an Angel get's his wings.
Meanwhile there's some justice due to that mean old Mr. Potter. That scaliwag was just a warped, frustrated old man. He'll get his come-uppance though. Just after the credits roll the towns people will start a lynch mob and go for the jugular on that old coot. They'll find out he was faking the need for the wheel chair and they'll just start kicking and beating him until he's been dealt with!
Yup, it's that time of year. Zuzu's petals. George Bailey vs. Mr. Potter and all that.
I believe, it's silly but I believe.
One of the best times of year, even if the films are old, black and white and seem so corny. Now I just have to catch up with that Green guy with the heart two sizes too small.
