Is it fair!
I was about to subscribe to this site so I decided to surf the board to make myself comfortable. I must say I have a change of heart.
Stardock makes good programs people love to use. 90% of the people who love the program (Talking about millions of people) do not and will not want to pay to use it. Fortunately for them there are more gifted people than the creators of the programs that will make them available to these people. Because of this Stardock will suffer greatly from this and it can’t be stopped. As mentioned in the drive to get new subscription, only a few from the many million of those who visit the site ever subscribed. This is the way things are. People want things for free and will walk away if their last choice is to pay for it. A subscriber means a great deal for wincustomize and should not be treated as trash. I was surprise beyond belief to see Fuzzy logic refer to Elsius Saint as a thief when he proudly recently subscribed to help this site. This is someone who created something based on an old Media Player. Companies pay people for new inspiration; NVIDIA would not want to see new work being made from old ideas.
We all want to make fans; it may have been a poor way to let those asking for the skin down by giving them hopes. A simple comment from the administrators asking not to ask for the skin would be a better way to stop the situation from becoming a problem. Their jobs were to delete those comments. You leave the email there and blame him when your TSF get mad.
Elsius Saint did not ask for any money or try to pass the original graphic as his own, yet you are calling him a thief. As stated above, the only way stardock would make good money is by working with people who makes skins for the companies. When those skinners get mad, people such as fuzzy logic and people who want to be on the spotlight such as Sleepy Dragon would step on anyone. It isn’t right.
