Media Problem....

Too much of it!

Lately my XPS has been heavily used to store files from my other 6 computers (just as a backup), but now I've begun backing up all of my media to it as well. My problem is, I simply have TOO much of it! Now, the original media itself (the copy I listen to/watch)is stored on an external HDD), and so I'll usually just use that (as opposed to the XPS copy). What I'd like to know is whether or not I could possibly compress the media files (like Winzip does)? I realize Winzip does nothing to compress media files though, so if there IS such a thing out there (and one of you could be so kind as to point me to it)....MAN would I appriaciate it

Note: If anyone out there is thinking "pirater!, you're sadly mistaken. I hate piracy with a passion, the media is simply music of my own creation (I get bored sometimes), along with videos I've made with my camera (some date back to 1994). Just to those out there

The thing is, JPEG, PNG, MPEG and most of the common media files are allready compressed to save space. That means there rarely is much to save on compressing it again.
A harddrive doesn't cose much these days, it's one of the cheapest component in a computer. I'd just buy a new one.
