I don't have a decent programming experience and I want to do following:
Make stand alone .exe, which activates a skin package for windows plus changes the start button area to a big round circle and adds some windows function buttons around it.
Now, I read desktopX documentation twice, browsed some forum messages and imported some objects and desktops. I still have no clue whatsoever how to start working with this. Didn't find any step-by-step tutorials how to make an object which would do some windows commands. I'm more of an artist type so I can't be assed to do several dozens of hours of research on API commands and how to activate them in DesktopX environment.
Could someone show me a hand-in-hand tutorial for kids or point me to an e.g. irc channel where I can ask several stupid questions to get started?
