It was good to see his kids on the podium with him. Those who think that Tiger Woods, or Manny Ramirez, or Alex Rodriguez, or Terrell Owens, or Tracy McGrady, or Freddy Adou, are the worlds best athletes, well, I would take issue. This is physically one of the most gruelling sports for 21 stages from guys that have 0% body fat, and he can decide to turn it on at an time, making the other mortals appear like mere mortals compared with him. My favorite occasion was I think his third Tour de France win, when he looked back at Jan Ullrich, looked him right in the eyes, and then took off and left him behind like he was standing still.

I remember that....he should have been a track sprinter with such arrogance and aggression...

Sometimes there are 'talents' in sport that make you glad you're alive in their time to witness/enjoy them.
