I've been having problems with the speed of VD desktop switching. At one point, I thought the culprit was Right Click as stopping that seemed to have cured the problem. However, it came back even without Right Click loaded. Switch times between desktops could take 3-5 seconds. Now I think I've found another solution. It appears that the MS Antispyware program, which has several real-time monitors, is causing the speed issue. After shutting it down completely, desktop switching is now back to being relatively instantaneous. In light of MS relatively recent decision to ignore certain adware vendors, it's no great loss for me to turn off the real-time monitoring. We'll see if it stays that way tomorrow.
