Fairyy~: I have also not been very enthusiastic to someone that brags about stealing Stardock products that I pay for and then they look for help in the Forum.
Jack_Spade: I'm sure this is not directed towards me, but I wish you would make that clear, if you would. |
Correct, it was not directed at you but was a generalized statement as to when I'm not polite.
But I do believe that you didn't see this post was over a year and a half old.
My feelings at the time were if Frogboy had wanted to sight examples in his post he could have easily dug up plenty. The only thing I didn't quite agree with him in his post was about the Forums being so hostile, they are not as hostile as they once were. I remember when I first came here and God forbid you had the nerve to not agree with the ' in ' crowd you were told off by 50 + within minutes. But that didn't scare me away at all. Just made me more determined to stay. If anything, posts in forum go unanswered a lot of times now. I'm not sure if its lack of interest or lack of time by the people that seemed to always be 'around' when someone had a question. Hopefully in the coming year once the new site settles in things will return to normal. There needs to be an equal balance of helpful posts as well as 'fun' posts. The kind Madam Goodmorphing used to write. Or the type of posts that invoke interaction between a lot of members. Perhaps it will never be that way again, which will be a loss...people need to interact with each other to keep that ' Community ' feeling. If every post is " I have no Sys tray icons " and every answer is " Look in C:\Program Files\Common Files\Stardock and make sure sdmcp.exe is enabled " with a big smiley face and followed by a sugar coated "Have a nice day" line , I'm afraid the Forum will become just a Q & A place manned by Stardock personnel only.
