What a day! I just got back from the President's national address on Iraq and what a joy...they have re-runs of 'Judging Amy' on the hotels cable! Looks like I'll be up for a while. I'm trying to get my report ready for my local newspaper on President Bush's speech..but it'll have to wait. I'm hooked on this program! Ever since my wife told me that she (Amy Brennan, the show's star) was nude under those robes the show's had my attention. I didn't think they would allow that kind of thing on TV.. but hey, it's the 90's.. Can you imagine if they tried something like that now! Did you ever see the show where one of her lovers has to hide from his gay lover underneath her robe? I mean really, the symbolism can't be missed. I still don't get it either. I think it was the second show where she disrobed in her chamber and looked into the camera and says, "I'm sweatin' like a pig up there even when I'm naked underneath it all." The writers do cameos in every show in case you didn't know. Tonight's show is the one where the President is about to make a statement on something important but ends up in bed with Amy. She will do anythng for a Federal appointment except....and then she wakes up. This is a family show, y'know. The rest of the show's stars all hate Amy in real life, fyi. Something about the third episode where they make those pithy statements about E.R., the show they went on before. I guess she forced the writers into badmouthing E.R's cast and that's a no-no in most civilized countries. Speaking of Iraq, I'd still vote for him, wouldn't you? Separating real life from TV time,...just for a minute, George has a real tough job and we ought to realize that more than we do. Pray for the peace.
