should we make skins for making money?

Users in wincustomize.com make a lot of good skins and people even subscribe to wincustomize because of how good they are; but don't you think that they should get paid? They spend their own free time making skins for people to enjoy and download but the users who make them don't get nothing in return. Making skins are apart of some peoples lifes and some of these peolpe i bet at least 10 out of 100 don't have enough money to pay for their rent or pay their bills and taxes. I think that people who become subscribers should make skins for money and the who don't subcribe just make skins for free.----please send comments of what you think.

I have a hobby, I am a sport fisherman...a pay for my fishing tackle, I pay for the boat that takes me to fish....I pay for everything....thinking this way, maybe they should give me all that for free, right?

If you can download it all from a P2P or some other way, or find a web site that allows you to download fish and gear for free, then why pay for it all?

I don't think that I personally would charge for most of my skins, or DX objects, but why not allow some sort of credit for those of us who do "get off our duffs and make skins"? We spend the time so that others can simply click and download all they want.

But just because you spend time doing something, doesn't mean you should get money for it. Pretty soon people will want money for breathing.

The concept of a simple "hobby" is falling in the name of capitalism . But so be it, Skinners can start charging collectively, and while they at it, they can watch the skinning community die, because customizing my GUI is as much of a hobby to me as creating the skins is a hobby to you. We don't need your skins to survive

Ok, are you modifying the AIR you breath so that its better or prettier? And if i like that air, and its better then the air I have in my house, then YES I might pay for it.

If you think that paying for something will kill the skinning community, then i am wondering what are you using to Skin your computer with? WB? DX? Something else? Did you PAY for that? or download it from some site? If the company that makes the program that simply allows ME to make a skin gets paid, then why shouldn't the person who makes the skins that makes your screen look better, or more the way YOU want it to look, make some $?

I have a cell phone, and i want a new cover for it, can someone at AT&T please upload one for me for free, so i can download it? Why do they think they should make money off my HOBBY of changing the way my phone looks? That will just kill the cell phone industry. Next thing you know they will want to charge ME for putting a ring-tone or wallpaper, or god forbid using the damn phone. Where will it all end?

If you think skins should all be free then make some and give them away. If you think that the dozens if not hundreds of hours needed to make a "great" skin is worth a little $, and might even promote others to make better quality skins if they know they can make a few $$'s off of them, then maybe, just maybe there is a place for people to make something and get paid for it.. Wow, now there is a concept. Let me make something and get paid money for it.. wow, that is a new idea, wonder if it will catch on.

this issue is very simple....you think that people shouldn't sell skins? don't buy it.

Enough said.
I Downloaded Pixtudio's Transilvania suite, a premium quality suite, in my opinion, for free from this site. Would I pay for it? Definitely!
