Okay, I had a post recently about ObjectDock that was producing incredibly frequent freezes in Opera (regardless of version).
I reimaged my machine just a few days ago and in the process of reloading it, I had DesktopX widgets running.
(fyi, I no longer have the ObjectDock problem... i'm baffled.)
But now when I un-minimize Opera or simply browse to a new tab in Opera's interface, There are holes left in the web-page display area (i say specifically this b/c that's the only place on the screen that it happens). It's like it's the screen buffer that's not being updated somewhere between DesktopX 3 and Opera 8.
i've also noticed that the same thing happens to the location of my cursor, as I have CursorXP running as well.
any ideas? it very well may be an Opera problem, but i'm posting on both forums so that i don't miss any possible solution. The objects that the problems occur on are DesktopX widgets, running outside of the DesktopX program (ie, set to run on startup, but desktopX is NOT)
it doesn't matter what level the widgets are running on. i've tried the desktop, normal, and Always-On-Top levels.
