Hi all
If anyone can help with a prob that's been nagging me for ages, I would
really appreciate it.
I have always set my office window colour to a particular mild yellow. As an
author and editor, I spend ages using it - black type on yellow the easiest
on the eye.
Since MS Office 2003 I have only been able to do this if I use Luna skin
(Olive). Otherwise, setting the reading window to yellow always causes the
UI - toolbars etc. - to mix that same yellow with the olive. It looks
hideous. But I have never 'told' it to change any of the other colours -
only the window.
I can't understand why Office 2003 does this, nor why I cannot import the
Olive skin to SkinStudio edit that single colour and apply it per app. When
I do it through WB and Skin Studio and apply it, it behaves just as it does
as a non-Luna theme and mixes the colours improperly on the whole UI.
I want to skin my XP to my own taste, but because of Office 2003 it looks
like I am stuck using the inbuilt Windows XP Theme with a modification for
the main window. I simply cannot use the default white reading panes in Word
and Outlook.
I want to have Office basically remain as Olive with the yellow, as the
whole system currently is, on a per app basis, whilst redesigning the
general look of XP.
I've been tearing my hair out over this for months now, and only purchased
Stardock Central, believing I could tweak this setting successfully in
SkinStudio.
Anyone had any experience in this? Anyone able to advise?
Many thanks
Ivan
