Can't Uninstall AlienGUIse.exe

I've read several posts where others found it "very difficult" to remove the Alienware set of Suites. I've reached the point where I'd use the word "impossible". Is there an ordered procedure one needs to follow to switch from the "Darkstar" theme to a WB skin? When I attempted to do this last night, my first clue that something wasn't quite-right was noticing my system tray icons had disappeared. With the selected WB in place, I had to realize I was really in trouble when I tried to apply yet another WB. The configuration panel would change and show the selected WB but I couldn't apply it; the skin wouldn't change on my PC. I subsequently unloaded WB's and rebooted (several times). This gave me back my icons and I was once again able to use and configure WB's.

XP's "Add/Remove Programs": When I click on AlienGUIse (to remove it), I'm not given the option to uninstall it. Instead, Stardock's ThemeManager pops-up onscreen. Interestingly, I click on Suites and it's blank. All of the pre-installed themes including Alienware are now gone. I thought going to the Start menu > Object Desktop > ThemeManager > Uninstall ThemeManager, might be a solution but, when I try this, nothing happens. So, I can't uninstall AlienGUIse or ThemeManager and I haven't faced this kind of predicament before.

I've never downloaded a Theme prior to "Darkstar" so the problems I'm having now are probably my own fault. Having the AlienGUIse.exe and the now ineffective ThemeManager lurking-about on this PC doesn't appear to cause any ill-effect. But, I'd just-as-soon get rid of them and any advice would be very much appreciated as to how I go about it.

I have no problems switching WB or walls. I just went in and deleted the folders that had alienware. Then went back into the trash can and put it back as I changed my mind.

ThemeManager OEM was designed to work for people without Object Desktop and for those with as well. If you already have OD with Theme Manager installed, ThemeManager OEM will just add a theme. In thiscase, DarkStar will have been added to any themes/suites that you already had. You should have received a "ThemeManager OEM has detected" message during install that let you know this.

You can go to the ThemeManager interface, select "Classic Desktop" to disable all aspects of Darkstar and then select a WindowBlinds skin as you normally would. That will leave you with the Windows default icons, wallpaper, etc. Or you can just change the WindowBlinds skin, which will leave you the Darkstar icons, etc.
