It has become necessary for me to stop loading DX3 as Windows starts because it is chewing up resources like they're going out of fashion tomorrow.
That's the headline grabbing statement, now for the facts supporting it.
1. From the moment I hit Enter having typed in my username and password with DX3 it takes 4 minutes before the desktop is useable.
2. I say useable but most of my System Tray apps have failed to start and are not visible in the System Tray for use.
3. Disable DX3 and restart and from Enter to useable is 90 seconds and the System tray is fully populated and useable.
Most people would say that the above 3 items are substantial proof but I am an industry qualified software tester by profession so I went one step further and applied an image taken before the installation of DX3 when DX2.4 was in place. So same hardware, desktop and software configuration and therefore no cause for saying that something else was changed. From Enter to useable 108 seconds and the System tray is fully populated and useable.
I don't have much time to do any more than the above tests but as and when I will see if I can locate the exact cause. However, I would like someone else to take a look and see if what I say can be substantiated.
Thanks in advance.
